Ich fühle da was anderes…

“Can you feel the low tonight”

There’s a calm surrender of the glucose in the blood When the carbs of the dinner can be turned away An annoying moment, and it sees me through It’s enough for this restless diabetic just to be with you And can you feel the low tonight? It is where we are It’s enough for this wide-eyed diabetic That we got this far And can you feel the low tonight? How it’s laid to rest? It’s enough to make CGM and glucometer Believe the very lowest …

“Treating Low”

Closed off from low, I didn’t need the ravenousness Once or twice was enough, but it was too much shakiness Time starts to pass, before you know it, you are too low But something happened, for the very first time with you My blood glucose melts into the ground, founds something blue And everyone’s looking round, thinking I’m going crazy. But I don’t care what they say, I’m for a long time too low They try to pull me away, but they don’t know the truth My hunger triggered by the low that I try to ignore You open my fridge and I Keep treating Keep, keep treating the low I keep treating I keep, keep treating the low Keep treating Keep, keep treating the low You open my fridge …

How deep is your low?

I know your eyes in the morning sun I see the dark circles around them And the moment that you wander far from me I wanna feed you sugar in my arms again And you come to me on a summer breeze Keep me afraid with your blood glucose, then you hungry leave And it’s me you need to show How deep is your low How deep is your low, how deep is your low I really mean to learn ‘Cause we’re living in a world of sweets Breaking us down when they all should let us be We belong to you and me …
